Christopher Catesby Harington (b. 1986) is an English actor. He is best known for his role as Jon Snow in the HBO fantasy television series Game of Thrones (2011–2019), for which he received nominations for a Golden Globe Award and two Primetime Emmy Awards.
Kit Harington said, “I realised that my life was hanging on this. Luckily it was the right place at the right time. I managed to forge a new life from there. When it happens I can… bring the whole room down. And a little part of me likes it that I’m having this effect. So I have to be very aware that it’s happening and remove myself from the situation.
People would treat me like the character. But in my life I didn’t feel like that at all. And that [led to] some psychological scarring.”
