Vitamin D supplement
- The Government advises that everyone take Vitamin D supplements October-March. Vitamin D deficiency has been shown to be linked to low mood, an increased prevalence of depression, and increased suicide risk. Supplementing with Vitamin D for the management of depression and anxiety and mood disorders has research backing and is seriously considered. The commonality of vitamin D deficiency and link to low mood, its wider health benefits, and low risk of harm mean taking a Vitamin D supplement should be seriously considered.
